Kelli's Day at Football 101

Kelli & Hillbilly Bill

For Kelli's birthday, she went to Nebraska football coach Bill Callahan's "Football 101 for Women". She had a great day, though there was not enough "Football" in the event for her taste. (Because some of the other sessions ran long, the sessions with the coaches was cut short.) Here she poses with the new head coach of the Huskers. Too bad she didn't tell him that to run the ball; we probably would have won another 2 or 3 games in 2004.

To start the day off, the attendees got to tour the facilities. Here Kelli takes in the view from the skybox of Nebraska's Enemy of the State. (From all accounts, she behaved...)

Here's the view from "Press Row" of the field. When we win the PowerBall, we'll have to see about getting seats up here!

Here's the view from the skyboxes towards one of the club rooms, dedicated to Coach Osborne.

Here's Kelli in the "Nebraska Heisman Room", honoring Johnny Rodgers (1972), Mike Rozier (1983), and Eric Crouch (2001).

This is the tunnel out of the Nebraska locker room where the Husker "Tunnel Walk" begins. Note the lucky horseshoe that has followed the locker room as it moved from the now-demolished Schulte Fieldhouse to South Stadium. Apparantly not all the players were out of the locker room before the ladies started touring. (Sorry, no pictures of that...)

And here are the Bullocks Buttocks. (Not sure which one is Josh's or Daniel's.) And no, they are not tight ends; they play safety.

Here former Oklahoma head coach John Blake demonstrates a defensive formation. The highlight of the evening was when the coaches opened up the playbook and explained the fundamentals of football. Too bad this session was cut short due to time.
