We really weren't planning another trip to Hawaii in 2003. In the summer of 2002, we were planning to remodel our kitchen, and came down to two bids. One was to hire someone to do the work, while the other was to do the demolition work ourselves, and hire contractors to do each item. The decision was made when we realized that the price difference was more than enough to pay for another trip to Hawaii. So we grabbed our crowbars, and then headed back to Hawaii! What a deal!
For this trip, we decided to stay on the Big Island, since that's where Kona Village is and airports being a hassle to deal with.
