At the north end of the road in Kohala is Pololu Beach. Reaching you must hike down about 400 feet on top of the cliffs. It's a much easier hike down than back up afterwards!!! But what a view!
This trip to Kona Village featured the worst weather we had encountered. Worst is comparative; it's still about 70 degrees warmer in Hawaii than home in Nebraska. The surf was high, and we couldn't get out on the ocean much. But when it calmed down, we got out on the ocean for some kayaking and snorkeling!
Nothing like a Kona Village sunset....
...except a Kona Village dinner at the Hale Moana... mmmmmmmmmmmm...
