Sunrise over Mauna Kea on a clear morning. This was the last clear morning we saw; normally the Kona Village Resort sees about 8 inches of rain a year, but the last 5 days we were there, 4 inches fell. Oh well, at least it was still warm!

A couple of turtles basking in the sun in Hawai'i. Good idea, don't you think?.

Mel & Terry relaxing in a hot tub; another good idea!

Whales splashing around off the Kona shoreline.

Everybody enjoying a late afternoon sail on the Manu Iwa. It was supposed to be a sunset sail, but the clouds turned it into a whale watch.

Breakfast time for the Kona Nightingales who now reside at Kona Village.

Parents on the lanai of their hales at the Kona Village Resort.

Well, I hate to say it, but it's time to go home... So was it worth it? (We think it was!)
