The food at Kona Village is unbelivable - both in quantity AND quality! Breakfast featured macadamia nut pancakes, French toast made from Portugese sweet bread, and fresh fruit from the islands. For lunch, there is an all you can eat buffet. Here, you can see some of the fresh fruits and vegatables. |
At lunch, there are multiple entrees available, plus a grill serving up burgers, steaks, prime rib, etc. At night, the dinner menu is a five course gourmet meal. |
Of course, we couldn't forget dessert! At lunch, it's a dessert bar including cakes, pies, and ice cream. I swear we each gained at least five pounds while we were there, judging by how our clothes fit! |
![]() As if the regular menu isn't extravagant enough, we dined one night in the Hale Samoa where the Chef personally prepares unbelivable cuisine. This night, we started off with Seared Peppered Ahi (seared, raw tuna) for Kelli, and Mike had Carpaccio Piccante (thin slices of beef topped with olive oil, lemon, capers, parmesan cheese, and served with a mustard sauce). Kelli then had Maui Onion Soup Gratine (beef broth sweetened with onions and baked with three cheeses), followed by Salad Samoa (Kohala baby lettuce, tomatoes, and snow pea pod sprouts with Kona mango dressing). The entree was Stuffed Beef Tenderloins (Nebraska beef tenderloins stuffed with mushrooms covered in a port wine glaze). Finally, a decadent chocolate dessert with Kona coffee topped off this meal. No wonder Kelli is smiling! |
